About CIR

Business Organization:

Communication Infrastructure Resources, Inc. (CIR, Inc.) has one office located in Washtenaw County outside the city of Northville.  It is owned and operated by Steve Swartzinski.  After twelve years of work experience in both the electrical and communication industries, Mr. Swartzinski started CIR, Inc. in January 1997. 

Steve is also a current member of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) and is recognized as a RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer). CIR, Inc. is a union contractor out of IBEW Local 252 in Ann Arbor and is signatory to Local 58 (Detroit) and Local 665 (Lansing). All labor provided will be out of these unions.

CIR, Inc. provides the services for the design and installation of data, voice, video, sound and fiber optic cabling systems, with a focus on the fiber optic technologies.        

CIR, Inc. believes it is advantageous to have a single point of contact.  One person designs, installs and certifies the copper and fiber optic networks.  Thus, the customer has a direct link to the work.  This principle has successfully kept CIR's clients more than satisfied.

Over the past sixteen years CIR, Inc. has worked with several school districts including Ann Arbor, Dexter, Walled Lake, Novi, Saline, Milan and Ann Arbor. Most recently, CIR, Inc. is in the completion stages of a (5) year long job as part multiple projects to expand University of Michigan Athletic Department. CIR has been part of all the major upgrades for the Big House (Football), Crisler Center (Basketball) and the Yost Ice Arena. Type of work done is the installation new PA Systems, Broadcast Cabling and CATV cabling. Types of cable networks installed were Triax, HDSDi, SMPTE, Multiple pair Audio, control cabling and extensive fiber optic system upgrades.  CIR, Inc. owns and uses the latest testing and splicing equipment.  For example: Fluke DTX-1800, Corning Systems OTDR Plus and X75 Fusion Splicer.          

Currently, CIR, Inc. runs a labor force that averages between (3-5) employees other than its owner.  Should hiring occur during this project, CIR is committed to support affirmative action and equal employment opportunity.
