Fiber Optic Cable Systems
CIR or its owner has been installing fiber optic cabling systems since 1989. At the time training certificates from Siecor (now Corning systems) were achieved. Fiber optics, have been a major portion of work throughout the years of business. CIR, has installed fiber in WAN, LAN, Data Centers, Audio, RF and Broadcast cabling networks. Fiber types such as singlmode or 50/125um and 62.5/125um multimode are worked with on an almost daily basis. We are familiar with all SMA, ST ,SC, LC and several small profile multi-conductor connectors types. Connectors as field installable or fusion spliced using pigtails. Although we have installed almost all the manufacturers in the above systems, the most commonly used products are Corning Systems, Hubbell, Leviton and Optical Cable Corporation.
Testing or troubleshooting of fiber optic cable systems is something CIR has done all long. With the many systems CIR has installed and maintained, being able to diagnose problems swiftly and effectively is important. The use of OTDR, power meter and visual fault locating systems makes this possible.
Data and Voice Cabling Systems
CIR, has been installing data and voice cabling systems from the beginning. Copper cabling networks have been installed in Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Corporate and Commercial facilities. Type of cabling installed has been multi pair riser, category 3, 5,5e, 6, 6e and 6a. Project size may be small office projects to high schools that have up to (3600) category 6 data drops, CIR has the management and experience to handle such projects and get the done in a timely matter. CIR, is a SysteMate partner with Mohawk cable, a major player in the cable supply industry. Through this partnership CIR can offer extensive warranty programs with many connectivity partners like Hubbell, Leviton, Ortronics and Siemens.
Testing and troubleshooting of copper cables is something very important. Customers need to feel comfortable that each link of cable is performing at its optimum level. Testing to EIA/TIA Standards and providing results allows the customer to have that confidence. CIR, uses testers like the reliable Fluke DTX1800 to do the testing that is required of many cable types.
Audio and Video Systems
In the last few years there has been a surge in the A/V industry. CIR, has partnered with local AV suppliers and contractors in implementing such systems. Many PA, video, projector, video walls, sound masking, monitor systems have been built using CIR labor. CIR has been fortunate enough in becoming a major source for labor to install the big PA systems such as the U of M Football Stadium, U of M Crisler Center, and U of M Yost Ice arena. Many conference, classroom, training, auditorium A/V systems have been installed over the years, CIR prides itself on innovated installation technique practices.
